Victor, I will have you know that when the Catholic Cast with this song came out, my husband sang "fly, little house, fly!", etc., around the house off and on for four days. I'm trying not to say this in an accusatory tone.
I think I started to think about it too much when I began making real-world applications - is it good to just run from danger? Shouldn't we take a stand? But then I realized the importance of avoiding even the near occasion of sin... and decided I was definitely putting too much thought into this song!
(I also liked the parallel with the Holy Family's flight into Egypt.)
Lately my husband has been spelling "purgatory" out loud and laughing randomly. Thanks, Victor!

I love this song. I had one of my priest friends play it over and over again! When I heard it first, I was facing a difficult day and many challenges. It made that day very, very pleasant, bearable, and faith-filled.
